迪士尼卡通则强调动作的戏剧性和故事的人性。看我的动漫画，要看眼睛，他们夸张的眼睛表现人物的心情，他们的心情，就是他们的故事。他们怎样初次接触爱、恨、伤、痛的，还有各种缺点是 怎么发展起来的和改变的，或者无法改变。 
  冰凌：你在书中表现出来的现代的思想和感情，一定受到东西方两种文化背景的影响。所以我有这样一种感觉，你所表达的是人类共同的思想和情感：真善美，因此无法给你做一个区域性的界定。你的爱憎是如此的分明，感情是如此的饱满，又通过你的少女心灵世界来演绎你的感受，将“你” 的人物呈现给读者。你能谈谈东西方两种文化对你的影响吗？ 
  答：我生活在中西方的环境里，肯定会受中西方的影响，这种影响既是书面的，也是每一天的。我在美国上学，在中国过暑假，在美国有爸爸妈妈，在中国有奶奶、亲戚。西方很强调个性和独立(indivisualism and independence)，所以我的人物都有个性和独立；东方强调共性和合作(collectiveness and togethrness)，所以，我的人物必须要合作才能打败共同的敌人。最后的几章，我的人物要兵分五路，又集中在最后一仗上，就是这个意思。 
  冰凌：你还会继续写书吗？ 
  答：当然！逃不了啦！我在纽约大学的专业就是剧本创作和动漫导演。我们老师讲得很清楚：你们有的只有想像力和文字。如果没人买你们的剧本，你们的年收入就是0 。吓得我们每天都拿着笔记本在纽约的街头和学校的校园——华盛顿公园(washington park )“拾荒”！比如老师要让我们今天写一段对话，就把我们赶到一家咖啡厅，10分钟后出来，问我们听到了什么？写下来！看到了什么？描述下来。一定要让“生活“在我们的纸上“活”起来！make life come alive!好在纽约是个大剧场，学校的校园每天也都有好莱坞来拍片的，又打又闹，不缺生活。写写写，除了吃饭和睡觉，醒了就写。现在天天写剧本，单人剧，双人剧，10分钟长的，20分钟长的，还有30秒钟的！还没有想出来，老师就让我又坐下去了！

  1. A Walk Through Cave Town 
  洞穴城之行 
  After the decision to overthrow Loki, Doppel decided to introduce Quiritus to some of his monster friends, those he thought were important, and Quiritus agreed. Without the help from the inside, the war against Lord of Death could not be waged and won. 
  “So you have met Lord of Death before?” Quiritus asked as she followed Doppel through a desert area. 
  “Only once a couple years ago. He wanted to see how strong I was, along with a couple others, and if we had enough talent to someday be one of his lieutenants. I crossed swords with someone he appointed to fight me…… I lost really badly. But Lord of Death thought I was pretty good and sent me to guard the cave that was under the Geffen Tower.” 
  “Ah, so that’s why you were there. Um……Doppel, where are we going?” 
  “To Cave Town, to meet my mom, Maya.” 
  Quiritus was pretty nervous. “Would she mind that you brought a human girl with you? What’s she like? Does she have sharp claws or fangs?” 
  Doppel laughed. “No, no, she has none of those. She’s a very kind creature and I’m sure she would be happy to meet you, she doesn’t like fighting with humans either.” 
  Quiritus was able to breathe a sigh of relief. But, as soon as Quiritus saw the entrance to the “cave town”, she forgot all about what Doppel had said and started to panic again. 
  The entrance to the Cave Town was not a bit welcoming with rock spikes forming two cocentric circles around the entrance that looked like it led to a place where the sun never shune. 
  Doppel walked right on in without thinking twice but Quiritus stayed six feet away from the most outer spike. 
  “What’s wrong?” 
  “……I……I don’t think this is such a good idea.” 
  Doppel walked back to where Quiritus was. “It’s ok, I’m here with you.” And took Quiritus’ hand and led her into the cave. 
  Quiritus had just set foot into the cave when all hell broke loose. 
  “HUMAN!!! HUMANS ARE ATTACKING!!” came the screaming voices and dozens of monsters. 
  “No-no! I’m not attacking, I’m just here with Doppel to talk to his mother, so please ca---“ 
  “THE HUMAN CAUGHT DOPPEL AND SHE WANTS TO GET MOM!!!” 
  “That’s NOT what I said! I said——” 
  A small bear like creature punced onto Quiritus and knocked her onto the ground. 
  Soon, an entire cave worth of monsters were advancing towards Quiritus, who hid behind Doppel, with the bear like monster still clawing onto her shirt. 
  “Doppel, I don’t want to die yet!” 
  “All right, all right, calm down kids, what’s going on?” came a calm and motherly voice. 
  “Mom!”
